Magnolia Gardens
One of the first design case studies I completed during my self-taught design course: I had the opportunity to take creative freedom and design an interactive mobile platform for a popular event venue that allowed for booking and browsing.

As this was a case study and learning experience for me, the curriculum I was following highlighted the importance of trying to draw out ideas for the platform and map out the potential components and interactions. Using Procreate, I was able to draw out multiple pages within this planned platform and set the stage for future designs.
User Research
After building the low-fidelity prototype, I set out to conduct a usability study by observing and interviewing participants while they go through the design. By examining user error rates and other KPIs, I was able to gain a better understanding of how the user flow and especially navigation in this project could be improved.

High-Fidelity Prototype
Within the same Figma file, I built upon the early iterations and low-fidelity prototype to improve and create a more engaging and well-designed user experience. I utilized UI kits like Material Symbols on top of creating some of my own design components in order to truly learn more about the design systems.
